After the incident, the plot thickened further. Saxton consulted with the Utah Department of Wildlife Resources, which concluded based on footprints that the creature had, in fact, been a dog. 。
Then, the owner of the dog came forward to confirm -- and also provided a nice photo as proof. It's always nice when the answer to a mystery is also extremely cute.。
