There's trouble in iOS paradise.
Apple's 12.1.2 iOS update, rolled out Tuesday, appears to be causing more problems than the fix was intended to solve.

There are multiple threads on the Apple Support Twitter account with users reaching out for help with the cellular data problem. The account appears to be directing them to restart and update carrier settings.
Mashable has reached out to Apple for confirmation that this is a widespread issue, and to ask whether a fix is coming anytime soon. We'll update this when and if we hear back.

According to Forbes, Apple released this update in the first place to fix a problem with connectivity in Turkey on the newest iPhone models. But the fix seems to have made everything worse: users across the world, on multiple models of iPhones, apparently can't reach their cellular networks.
If you want to avoid rendering your phone useless, maybe hold off on downloading the new update for now.
