How do you do, fellow kids?
The internet is a beautiful (and equally toxic) place where people can come together, share their views, and express themselves. But when something feels fake or forced, you will definitely be called out on your bullshit.
Former FBI director James Comey is set to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee on his interactions with the president on Thursday. In preparation for the event, the committee released Comey's opening statement.
Given the importance of the matter at hand, it's no surprise that the left and right would pick apart the statement, but the GOP's response from its official Twitter account was a laughable attempt at being cool online.

Oh, and the statement? It's "the most shocking single document compiled about the official conduct of the public duties of any President since the release of the Watergate tapes," according to Benjamin Wittes of Lawfare.
Now when you think of internet culture, the GOP's twitter account is probably the last place you'd expect to see a reaction GIF, but here we are. Welcome to 2017.
The internet reacted accordingly.
