Kanye West has returned to Twitter to explain why he made a controversial visit to Trump Tower this morning.
West says he discussed "multicultural issues" with Trump and wrote, "I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change."
Actually voting has been known to cause change, if you're looking for more suggestions, Kanye.

The tweets, though far from a disavowal of the future Trump administration, are possibly more encouraging than anything fans have heard from West lately. But that's a pretty low bar.
Prior to his hospitalization, he famously said on stage that Trump would have been his choice if he voted at all and made alarming statements like, "I hope they build the wall, I hope they get rid of them all." Not a great start on multicultural issues!
West declined to comment when facing the press at Trump Tower this morning and simply said, "I'm just here to take a picture right now."
Trump, meanwhile, characterized their visit in a chummy way, stating that the "longtime friends" discussed "life."
And in case you're wondering, it looks like #Kanye2020 is out.

Unlike Donald Trump, West has been pretty quiet on Twitter lately. His most recent tweet before today was a birthday video dedicated to Kim Kardashian West back in October.
