Days before its big MacBook event, which takes place in Cupertino on Oct. 27, Apple has released a new version of macOS Sierra, bringing the version number to 10.12.1.。
The update mostly brings bug fixes, but there is one new feature: The photos taken on an iPhone 7 Plus in the recently released Portrait mode will now be automatically be added to a new smart album in Photos.。

On Thursday, Apple is rumored to show off new MacBook Pro models, which sorely need an update, and at least one other laptop, though it's unclear whether it will be a MacBook Air or a MacBook. And although Apple's Mac and iMac lines could also use an update, latest rumors point to this event being only about the MacBook.。
