IKEA is ready to let those rupees roll in. The Swedish furniture giant just opened its first store in Hyderabad, ready to cater to the furniture and meatball needs of the world's fastest growing middle class.

Inside the 400,000-square-foot store the scene nearly escalated into a stampede as people were allowed in. Video footage circulating on social media showing just how intense things became in the queue:

The Indian IKEA restaurant seats 1000 people and has a menu of local dishes and adapted IKEA stables such as Swedish köttbullar med potatismos (meatballs and mashed potatoes).
In Hyderabad, the meatballs are made with chicken rather than beef and pork to fit the Hindu diet.
