Prime Day may have come and gone, but one thing Amazon's sale didn't have was the best Apple Watch deal we've ever seen — that honor belonged to Target Circle Week. Thankfully, as part of Target's holiday "Deal of the Day" programming, the deal is back.

For Oct. 16 only, Target Circle members can clip an on-page coupon and score an Apple Watch Series 8 (41mm, GPS) for just $224.99 — that's $174.01 off its $399 MSRP and a 44% discount overall. At the time of writing, the next lowest price you can find the same model Apple Watch for is $319 at Amazon and Walmart. The coupon is available for every colorway, minus starlight.

If you're not already a Target Circle member and want to get in on the savings, all you need is an email to sign up. Unlike other retailer memberships, Target Circle is completely free, so this deal comes with no hidden subscription fees.

The Series 8 is now officially an "old" discontinued generation, but the watch did come out just a year ago. In true Apple Watch form, not a ton of innovation happened between generations. The biggest differences you'll notice between the Series 8 and the newer gen will likely be in the Series 9's Double Tap feature (which isn't available until sometime this month) and brighter display.
