According to the user, who posted under the pseudonym Nostalgic Eik, he sent the cup of coffee back thinking it was a dirty cup, but got another batch of roach legs in the replacement. Yikes.。
On Thursday, McDonald's posted an apology letter, which pretty much acknowledges that there were cockroach bits in the coffee pot.。
The fast food chain said in a statement that it's brought in the offending coffee machine for inspection, and has sent in a team to the outlet to get its equipment and facilities cleaned.。
Fast food outlets are probably accustomed to people planting bugs in their food and claiming outrage, so McDonald's statement means Nostalgic Eik wasn't mistaken. 。
Two years ago, McDonald's encountered another roach situation in Bangkok, where a woman claimed she found one in her soft serve. That time, McDonald's didn't admit liability, but instead filed a police report, suggesting that its investigations threw doubt on the woman's story. 。
